Impact
Goals
Global Development Foundation is focused on IMPACT. Long term and short term.
The supported programs are focused on the following sustainable development goals:
Bringing hope
GDFB sees part of its mission as bringing hope to people who finds themselves in situations where it seems like there are very few options. This is not an impact that can be measured but it does not make it less important:
A human being can only strive for change if they have the hope that it can be accomplished.
Community building
Burundi has struggled through many years of civil war. 2015 was the last outbreak of unrest. People have learned to live with this by keeping to themselves. For communities to thrive, there need to be trust and something that brings people together. GDFB actively works on using its programs to build community cohesion and to involve the young people in building the future for themselves and their future families.
Measure impact
GDFB works closely with the community. We find it crucial to listen carefully to what their needs and inputs are. Key stakeholders are interviewed before and after every action to evaluate the impact that has been achieved in the perception of the stakeholders.
Beyond that, GDFB sets key performance indicators prior to starting a program.
